COERR Mae Hong Son supported the fish raising for youth in livelihood program. Tips are changing water to make water remain clean for fish to live until they are fully grown and ready for selling.

COERR Mae Sarieng organized the animal feed production workshop

COERR Mae Sarieng organized the animal feed production workshop at Ban Mae Lamaluang and Ban Mae La Oon on April 23 and 24, 2013. There were 43 and 27 youth, respectively, attending this training to learn how to prepare and mix food ingredients for animal feed; and EM (Effective Microorganism) making as ingredient. The course will enable these youth to prepare nourish feed for their own animals and can make a career in the future.

COERR Kanchanaburi and the Livelihood / Self-Reliant Program

COERR Kanchanaburi and the Livelihood / Self-Reliant Program provided livelihood training to Extremely vulnerable and young refugees to acquire and apply relevant skills that produce products and services needed by camp residents, such as animal raising; household product making, i.e. soap, candle, broom, dish washing liquid; clothes weaving, etc..

Staff regularly paid visit and provided necessary advice to the refugees under the livelihood/self reliant program such as tips in animal raising, e.g. to give food regularly and to keep the pond water clean for fish’s health, etc.

COERR Mae Sot and the Livelihood Program in Refugee Camps

At Umpium Camp on April 4 – 8, training on mushroom growing in basket had been provided to 3 youth group members totaling 30 persons.

Training on mushroom growing in basket was provided to 35 children for their consumption and income generation.

Visit to the Pig raising group- it is happy to note that now the weight of the pig is 40 kg., compare to 2 kg., at the beginning. It is expected that the group can sell the pig at good price soon.

On April 30, COERR supported knitting materials to 10 members of “Rose” group.
