Daily Summary Report 2nd of April 2013, 11 days after incident

               • Area planning and construction consultation, 2nd April 2013, among government officials, concern agencies and camp committee.

               • According to MOI and the Forest Department, refugees are allowed to live only on flatland in the camp. People who used to stay at the slope area will be moved down to the flat area, and there is no expansion of area.

Initial Proposed area for reconstruction by TBC, Camp Committee and section leader
               1. Bible school area fits to accommodate about 20 houses
               2. COERR compound (VT and agricultural offices) in section 4 will have main public building for warehouse, boarding house, church and school with more space for playground. There should be clearance of the land at the risky landslide area.
               3. COERR Social Service Center (SSC) area should be either built at the same location to provide best services to EVIs people, particular Elderly, Physical Disabled and children with concern, or to relocate to the proper area in Section 2

               4. There is discussion of concern from Bible school such as the flooded area which risk for children once the rainy season coming.

Water and Sanitation area: IRC will provide the community water station The latrine would be for the cluster (6 house: cluster).

               School: JRS will remain the area of school area in section 1.
               Action point: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, 3 April among all concern to discuss, suggest and plan for area construction. GPS will be introduced for calculation and measurement of the area.

Note: COERR team later discuss and come to the proposal that former COERR SSC area in section 4 can be given to accommodate more refugees in section 4 on the condition that the SCC can move to section 2 near Child Friendly Space in section 2. This suggestion will be raised on 3 April.
COERR Social Service Center formerly preferred to remain the old location for the BEST interest of EVIs particular Elderly, the disabled and children

               • COERR staffs conduct child friendly activities for children in section 3 and 4 with the assistance of COERR Mae Sot support team. There are 33 children participating in section 3 temporary shelter site and 50 children in section 4 at open space near the entrance.
               • During the child friendly activities, the basic mental and behavioral assessment was addressed through the expression of children in activity and socially participatory manner. Should there be any sign of psychosocial problems, the case would be referred to psychosocial program for further appropriate assistance. According to our observation, most of the children preferred drawing the pictures related to the fire incident and current situation in the camp like helicopter, military officers, etc.
