Pilot Project in Organic Agriculture For Self-sufficiency and Sustainable Livelihood of Refugees In Ban Mai Nai Soi Camp

In October 2012, COERR started to set up the highland water system for agriculture for the vulnerable persons under the Pilot Project in Organic Agriculture for Self-sufficiency and Sustainable Livelihood of Refugees in Ban Mai Nai Soi Camp in Mae Hong Son Province. The mountain irrigation system has been installed in the highland area and lay the sprinkler system for efficient and sufficient water supply for plantation, in which land and agriculture have been planned and allocated.

The purpose of this project is to promote organic agriculture skills for self-sufficiency and sustainable livelihood amongst targeted refugees in order to make preparedness for the eventual settlement in their home country in the future.
